If possible could someone please answer this this morning. My daughter is in RCIA at her college. She left me a voice mail asking if she could participate in the ash wednesday service today at her campus church. She is well aware that she cannot receive the Euchatist as of yet but can she go forward and receive ashes?

Much thanks

Yes. Ashes are a sacramental anyone even those who are not Baptized can receive Actual Grace from receiving them.

I think anyone – even those who haven’t signed up for RCIA can go and get ashes.
