My paternal grandmother died when my father was very young. Because his father didn’t practice any particular religion, my father wasn’t raised in a church enviroment and he chose not to convert to Catholicism when he married my mother although he was supportive of his children being raised in the Catholic Church. He was a good man, a good husband, and a good father. But, when he died 9 years ago, he was (most likely) unbaptized. I say most likely because he didn’t remember being baptized and the majority of his family was Baptist and they don’t practice infant baptism. I had planned to baptize him before he died, but he died during the night and I wasn’t there.
While he was sick, he and a Baptist minister became friends, and I know they had long discussions about his faith and what he believed and I know he did believe.
What I’m trying to ask is, can an unbaptized person, under these circumstances, ever get Heaven?
