If god is all knowing why would he have even created Satan in the first place knowing that he would rebel and throw off gods plan.

First off, I don’t appreciate being labeled a liberal. You should probably ask John to spare you the “distortion of love” when he opens his first epistle the way he does. Second, I keep saying that God contains no contradictions, and yet you keep asserting that he could destroy that which he created. This is no liberal distortion as you put it–this is straight up Patristic theology. Read St. Athanasius’ On the Incarnation and the part about the Divine Dilemma. It is not fitting to God’s nature for him to destroy what he created in love.
I have read the Old Testament, thank you. And I don’t come away reading it in a Manichaean “Evil God of the OT/Good God of the NT” dynamic.

After the end of the world,
the devils will not longer have any influence on events. This is extremely painful to their pride.
While we don’t know what hell is like, one thing we can be sure of, there is no “event” in the sense of a situation developing into something. Today is the same as yesterday and all the tomorrows will be no different. There is nothing for the fallen angels’s vast intellects to work on and this is extremely frustrating to them for intellect is all they have.
( Eventually, the saved human souls in Heaven will know more than the devil. That must drive him crazy!

Can angels/demons be destroyed?
No! God made a spiritual being in his image and likeness to share in His glory and to receive gratitude and honor in return. For that gratitude to have any real meaning (merit), it had to come as a unique, personalized expression of love from the free will intellect of one whose choice freed it from the treat of annihilation (autonomous, but dependent existence), given by a Creator whose nature was concealed. That creature would have to surmise the nature of its Creator from its own existence, by looking at the magnificence of itself, and then choosing: gratitude or pride. This first god-like creature faced its first decision: “I will serve my Creator,” or “I will compete with my Creator.” This choice was so diametrically opposite that the resulting schizophrenia definitively split this first creature into two persons each with it own personality: Good and Evil. All God’s decision are definitive; giving the creature autonomous, but dependent existence, eternally ceiled the fate of that creature’s first intellectual, free will, conscientious choice. “Oh happy fault” that we humans were given the life of Christ, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to defeat Satin with every free choice, and Confession to return to Him if we fail.

I’ve read the Catechism from cover to cover, but I also know a thing or two about effective war strategies, and holding your ground is the -least effective war strategy there is.-
No one has ever won a war by holding their ground. -No one.- You win a war by forcing the enemy back; by sticking to them like flypaper, by wiping them out, taking their territory, and using whatever resources they leave behind in death.
If demons can be killed/destroyed/removed from the temporal scene permanently by some prayer or effort in which we can participate, kindly do us all the favor of telling us what it is.
If demons cannot be killed/destroyed/removed from the temporal scene permanently, then let those who speak of “spiritual warfare” forever be silent, because unless you can wade into the enemy and drive them to extinction/permanent ineffectiveness, there is no “war” to speak of. No war was ever won that way.
