But I just love the legends of the Glastonbury bush, it does not have to be historically, accurate to catch one’s attention.
It’s not the bush that’s at issue, whether that tale be true, or pious legend. It’s the sort of thing you can find in Lionel Lewis’ ST.JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA AT GLASTONBURY. It’s a connected series of dubious legends, that some folk take for historical fact.

If Anglicans are not, why are Methodists?

My wife had some seminary professors (at Asbury Theological Seminary) who argued that Methodism wasn’t Protestant.

And as you know, some Lutherans claim not to be “Protestant” as a way of pointing out the differences between themselves and most other Protestant traditions which derive from Calvinism in one way or another, even though historically Lutherans are the “original” Protestants. . . .

There are many definitions of “Protestantism,” and it seems to me that the only tradition that is Protestant by all the definitions is the Reformed.

Hasn’t the originally question been answered more than once and over again by now and going onto other stuff because people can’t see that the conversation has long gone.
