Can animals get into Heaven?

off topic but I like to think heaven is where I’ll cuddle the puppies and cute creatures forever
I read a NDE story from someone who the saw their deceased pet in Heaven, but didn’t recognise it at first, because it was in puppy form. There are secrets about Heaven that Man doesn’t know about.

You might as well ask: is God not enough compared with our parents, our children, our siblings? After all, they too are nothing compared with God’s presence. And yet, caring for their eternal dispositions isn’t considered wrongheaded … not, at least, among ordinary humans with functioning souls.

Maybe, maybe indeed. I’ve known farmer-types in my life … and many of them would say that there’s less contradiction than city folks imagine between affection for those animals who comprise creation and consuming them for supper! It’s a little paradoxical … but not a contradiction in terms. For my part, I hope one day to meet and come to some sort of terms with those beasts our Lord has created who have also, on occasion, furnished part of my supper.

I also read an NDE where a girl was shown where her deceased parrot lived. And another where a preacher “died,” went to heaven and was met there by his family’s deceased dog and monkey. I think animals may have their own homes in heaven, apart from people, but they may interact if they want. Just IMHO.

Jesus promised ,resurrection and heavenly life or punishment in hell ,after death to humans only.Better go by this and leave animals from resurrection since such a concept is not only against bible but is against common sense also.Example-If pets are resurrected what about pests? What about whales ?Means sea also will be there?Or one want only lovely pets there and no other animals ?

Yes, a lady was shown an area which she says was on the “outskirts” of Heaven, where she saw dogs and horses playing with each other by chasing one another. When they saw her, she said it felt like their stares were burning holes through her, because they thought at first it might be their master coming for them.

Techno2000:
resurrected
But that in what way affect Jesus promise I mentioned?
All life comes from God, and all life returns back to God.

God is not a storage house for lives to go and come.Just as he creates life from nowhere he ends it also.No rule that all life he created should go back to him.Only in the case of humans there is life after death -either a glorious life with God or a condemned life in hell depending upon how you have followed God’s commandments while living here.Animals do not know about God or about his commandments and hence no glory or punishment wait for them after death. They simply die , that’s all…

Animals have their own spirit too. If it’s God will for some to rise to Heaven they will .

All go to one place: All come from dust, and all return to dust. Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and the spirit of the animal descends into the earth?

Ecclesiastes 3:21

We do not have the concept of spirit. We have soul.Jesus shown that our body will resurrect. No body has shown that animals have soul or that animals will resurrect just like humans.

I agree that animals are not resurrected. They do not have immortal spiritual souls. I’m only saying that if I really want my pet dog in heaven, God can recreate him exactly as he was, every molecule in place, such that I could not distinguish him from the original.

I haven’t read all the posts here, so forgive me if this has been mentioned before. Somewhere in CS Lewis’s writing he discusses the interesting idea that animals who have had a close and loving bond with humans (ie pets) might be, is some mysterious way, “ensouled” so that they might greet us in Heaven. He admits it is pure conjecture - there is no mention of this in Scripture, and by far our biggest concern is with our own, and other human souls - but it is something to mull over, at the very least. Of course he put it much better than I ever could.

There is also that mention of not only a “new Heaven” but also of a “new Earth”. Who knows what this might mean. But it seems at least possible that creatures that Almighty God cared enough to create and nourish over their short lives, might also have a place in the final things.

Not a hologram. God can create ex nihilo. He can create an exact living replica.

I find it interesting that the word for soul in Genesis is “Nefesh.” The same word is used for a human soul and an animal soul. How do we know that their souls-the same soul as they had on earth-will not live on? I don’t think we can know this for sure at all.

(I always tell myself that I’m not going to get involved in these discussions. But I end up here anyhow. I’m familiar with all these arguments, so I might not post much more unless it’s on a positive note.)
