  1. Why are we here on Earth?
  2. What is the purpose of life?
  3. If intelligent design and the Bible aren’t correct, then how did humans end up being the masters of every other species on Earth? Why didn’t bears or deer or trout or monkeys or tigers or dogs or squirrels develop intelligence and the ability to speak in thousands of different languages and the ability to build solid structures and the ability to civilize and the ability to master any environmental challenge? Also, where did government come from? You don’t need to answer that one; all historians know the Bible is correct historically, even about Noah’s flood due to recent archaeological evidence. So government was formed by the people of Israel. If no God, they created on based on… Nothing? If the universe was entirely empty space except for a small mass of matter that created the universe by spontaneously exploding and steadily expanding throughout empty space… What caused that small mass of matter to explode?
  4. If God was created by mankind as an explanation for life and the events that make it up and mankind is by nature evil, as Rousseau said, why didn’t mankind worship themselves or a power of evil?
  5. If God was invented by humans, then why do so many Biblical stories involve his punishment of humans that went astray? Wouldn’t humans rather create a God that allows them to get away with whatever they want?
6.If Jesus really wasn’t the Son of God, and he didn’t really rise from the dead 3 days after his crucifixion, why did a group of men and women that had been hiding in an attic for those 3 days suddenly come out and start preaching about this man in a way that they were willing to suffer gruesome deaths for?(And don’t give me anything about mankind needing an explanation in their minds, any simple “explanation” would be quickly dropped when a man is about to be sawed in two, stoned, crucified, burnt alive, or beheaded.
  1. What happens to us after we die?(I don’t mean our physical body, I know that decomposes back to the dust(another phrase out of the Bible) but I mean to who the person is)
I’m sorry there long questions and hard to answer 😦

How is it that we are here? Stuck inside a garment of skin? How is it that we live here with a higher-ordered world above us? So many questions with not enough answers! That’s why religious faith, hope, and love are so paramount!

We are here to love God with all our heart with all our strength and with all our mind. And then to love our neighbor as God loves us. You can not do this alone that is why we have the sacraments to helps us understand and then grow in that understanding. We must first abide in Christ’s love and how we do that is " Who so ever eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him. The Apostles asked the same questions you did and Christ answered them all. Pray rosary and he will answer you too.

This is for eclipse 880

All of your questions are great and that is where it all starts with you asking… Now what you must do is find someone who can help you answer these questions in absolute truth. I am sorry to say that many people have hidden agendas and some of these people are a catholic. But let me assure you the Catholic Church has the full truth, but, not all catholics know what that is. Here it is in steps
  1. pray your questions be answered in truth
  2. be willing to hear the answer even if you don’t understand
  3. seek and pray to understand
  4. go to confession regularly
  5. go to mass offer up your short coming and recieve christ
  6. BE HUMBLE (this means put on the mind of Christ not your way of thinking)
  7. accept God’s will
Here are some people who helped me: Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, Mother Angelica, Father Corapi, Father Groshel, Mother Teresa, also Scott Hahn start with fist comes love you can get this in dvd, cd, books or look him up on youtube. Also go to the Mary foundation and get their 8 cd’s for a 1 dollar donations very worth it.

P.S. You must answer these questions for your self. No Cross No Crown, No pain No gain, got it.

Your friend in Christ,
Chelsea Galatians 2:19-21

Wait for the Lord, keep watch, take heart.

Excellent questions. Many books have been written to provide answers. So a few very short answers, as this simple layman understands them

Some would say mankind, that is superior in intellect and mobility, is simply the luck of the draw. Trillions of possibilities and something was bound to come out on top. We did. This, I think, is naive and not worthy of debate. Could be true, but it seems to be a trillion to one chance.

We understand herititary development and a chain of events. Something causes something else. We also understand that the Universe is huge beyond imagination. The Hubble Space Telescope shows us just how huge and that ain’t all there is.

So there has to be a FIRST CAUSE. The Big Bang may be true, but there had to be stuff that experienced the bang. Where did that come from? GOD is the first cause. If God can create the Universe, He surely can create mankind and He can reveal Himself to mankind as much or as little as He chooses. We can pay attention to Him or not.

No one has seen God. But neither has anyone seen Air. We see stuff in the Air, we see the invisible air (wind) move things. We breathe it. But we cannot see air. We cannot see feelings or emotions but we see their results. So we believe in things we cannot see or touch because they make sense to us.

We know the life and works of Jesus Christ as much as we know George Washington and Aristlole, historical figures we have not seen. We have records and scholars, and their reports are very reasonable. God told us Jesus was His Son, and the reports of Jesus’ actions - miracles - prove He is indeed the Living Son of God.

So GOD MADE US TO KNOW HIM, TO LOVE HIM, TO SERVE HIM, AND THEN TO BE HAPPY WITH HIM IN HEAVEN FOR EVER.

What happens if we chose to NOT know Him, to NOT love Him, to NOT serve Him? If we make that choice, we forfeit the promised reward. That would be a Hell of a situation.

Why are we here on earth? What is the purpose of life? What happens after we die? These are not only hard questions; these are questions which cannot be answered by human reason. The answers can only be known by a revelation from the Creator of all things. And that is where the Bible comes in – for the Scriptures are the Creator’s revelation to man, preserved in writing to contain essential knowledge which man cannot ascertain for himself.

The Bible records of a great king whom God calls “a man after mine own heart” (Acts 13:22) who pondered those same questions. King David of Israel wondered about the stars and was inspired to write: “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man that thou art mindful of him?” (Psa. 8:3-4).

King David may not have been given the revelation of the real connection between man and the stars for he continues: “For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet…” (v.5-9). David here limits man’s dominion to the present – the earth, its atmosphere, the waters and sea (as in Gen. 1:26-28). That is the dominion man has now. In the NT, however, far more is revealed.

In the book of Hebrews we read: “For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak” (Heb. 2:5). Notice, the theme here is “the world to come” – not this present age. Continue verse 6: “But one in a certain place testified, saying…” then follows a quotation from the first six verses [only] of the 8th Psalm.

After quoting the 8th Psalm, the writer of Hebrews is inspired to follow with something that will happen in the world to come: “Thou hast put ALL THINGS in subjection under him [man], he [God] put all in subjection under his [man’s] feet. For in that he [God] put all in subjection under him [man], he [God] left NOTHING that is not put under him” (v.8).

Is it possible God could mean what He says – “all things” – nothing excluded? In other words, for those willing to believe what God says, He says that He has decreed the entire universe – with all its galaxies, its billions of suns and planets – EVERYTHING – will be put under man’s subjection.

That may be hard to believe but the book of Hebrews continues: “But now we see NOT YET all things [the endless universe] put under him [man].” Remember, this is talking about the “world to come” (v.5) – not today’s world. But what do we see now, today? “But we see Jesus, who was made [for] a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour.” Jesus is already crowned with glory and honor.

Continue: “For it became him, for whom are ALL THINGS [the entire universe] and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings… for which cause he [Christ] is not ashamed to call them brethren” (v.10-11). Christ has already been crowned with glory and honor, but He will also crown “many sons unto glory” to be just like Him – to be like a brother to Him.

In Hebrews 1:1-3, we read that God has appointed His Son “heir of all things [the whole universe]… upholding [sustaining] all things by the word of his power…” The living Christ already sustains the entire universe by His limitless divine power. The passage continues to show His superiority over the angels, who are now ministering to us – to us who are now in lower status than the angels – but who are HEIRS of salvation, when we, like Christ, shall become born Sons of God (v. 4-14).

Now, put this together with what is revealed in Romans 8. Here it speaks of God’s Son: “…that he might be the FIRSTBORN among many brethren” (Rom. 8:29). Humans having God’s Spirit are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:17), who alone, among all born human, has already been born as God’s Son by a resurrection of the dead (Rom. 1:4). He is the FIRST of the human family to be born into the Family of God – “the firstborn among many brethren.” He is our pioneer who has gone before us. We shall follow at the resurrection of the just at Christ’s return and shall become God’s sons just like Christ.

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us…” (Rom. 8:18). And what is this glory that shall be revealed? Continue: “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God; for the creation [the entire universe] was subject to futility, not of its own will but by the will of him who subjected it in hope…” (v. 19-20).

Why should the whole universe be waiting with eager longing for the birth and appearing of all these Sons of God? The following verses portray a universe filled with planets in decay and futility – yet as if subjected now to this dead state IN HOPE. “Because the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious liberty of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now; and not only the creation but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit [the very few now being called to salvation – the “firstfruits”] groan inwardly as we wait of the [birth] as sons” (v. 21-23).

Now, that reveals a lot about why we are here, what is the purpose of our life, and what happens after we die. It is an amazing, marvelous revelation. These Scriptures indicate we shall impart life to billions upon billions of dead planets, as life has been imparted to this earth. We shall create, as God directs and instructs. We shall rule with Christ through all eternity. It will be an eternal life of accomplishment, constantly looking forward in joyous anticipation to new creative projects.
