I am seeking a list of impediments to marriage in the eyes of the catholic church. Please give me citations to the comments you leave me, because I am just learning the catholic faith now in the initial stage.

Keep in mind that the code of canon law in effect when this article was written is the 1917 code. We are now under the 1983 code, which tee_eff_em linked to.

It’s a good article, but no longer entirely accurate due to the code changes.

I didn’t even think of that. You may want to pay more attention to tee’s link than mine, notsmart.

Actually, according to the CA version of the old Catholic Encyclopedia, the article dates from 1913, before the numerous canons on all manner of subjects were first codified in 1917.
