Can anyone illuminate me on the 4th luminous mystery?

Before it became part of the rosary I thought that the transfiguration of Jesus with Elijah and Moses a historical event but I couldn’t see any meaning behind it. Now that it is the 4th luminous mystery and we are to meditate on it, I am kind at a lost on the deeper meaning of it? Can anyone illuminate me on this luminous mystery?
