Can anyone point me to the Order of Mass in Spanish?

I’ve just been asked to play for a Mass that will be celebrated in Spanish (it’s just me at the organ. I won’t have any other musicians or a cantor to lean on). I’m really excited about it, and I don’t want to run into difficulty because of a linguistic barrier. Can anyone point me to a free source of the text of the Ordinary Form in Spanish? Thanks

I am assuming that you are in San Francisco, California. Surely there would be a parish that would have a bilingual missallette floating around somewhere. The Paluch publishing house usually has one with the Spanish version on yellow paper. The Magnificat also publishes a Spanish version.

One thing you probably have to take note of is the fact that in the United States, we use the Mexican version of the Roman Missal. But, the publishing houses will stick with that version. Now, we also use the Mexican Lectionary; however, the psalms come from the Spanish (as in Spain) Lectionary.

I found a side by side Spanish-English Order of Mass at the following location: misas.org/sta.tic/descarga/missa_es_en.pdf

It has all the standard prayers and responses, and it prints out on 6 pages (or 3 pages back to back).

The parent site for this page is misas.org/docs/ordinario-idiomas, and it has the Order of Mass for many other languages as well. If that fails, you can try what I did - go to the Wikipedia site for the language you want, then search for “order of mass” or “catholic mass” using the corresponding terms in that language.

While this may be of help, snice the OP is in the United States, he might have to use the translation approved for usage in Mexico, as this is the one that is currently employed in the United States.

The USCCB is working on its own Spanish-language translation of the Roman Missal. From what I understand, the propers have already been voted on and sent to the Holy See for the necessary recognitio.
