I have a rosary ring and this is on the back of it…what does this stand for?
 
It’s Our Lady’s monogram from the miraculous medal.

I think it originated inSwitzerland or France in the mid 1800s.

This symbolizes Mary being at the foot of the cross as Jesus was crucified.

Yes, it is from the back of the Miraculous Medal image, as shown here along with the background behind it:

Personally, I see something more in the image too. The front of the medal shows Blessed Mary crushing Satan, represented as a serpent surrounding the globe of the earth, just at the very bottom of the image. At the alleged apparition of Medjugorje, Blessed Mary allegedly said when the secrets of that apparition (under Church investigation) unfold, Satan’s power in the world will be destroyed. I see another meaning behind the image besides the more obvious one - the cross reminds me of the cross atop Cross Mountain at Medjugorje, which has a horizontal baseline of stones below it. The letter M forms two hills, with the cross in between - Medjugorje means “between the hills”. Blessed Mary appears at Medjugorje with a crown of twelve stars - the back of the medal is surrounded with twelve stars. Allegedly, Medjugorje is the place where Satan’s power will be destroyed, the apparition where what is on the front side of the medal will come to pass. Again, it is just my personal interpretation. Meanings of Scripture and these things can be very easy to see but sometimes have other layers to them; I think this has another layer that I just described.
