Yes. Now go to Confession and return to the Church. Is it possible we agree on something?

OK, fair enough. I’ll retract my amateur exegesis. The Church quotes him in CCC-1036
So we can be certain this is a general statement and not just for certain Jews of a certain era.
What a stupid and disgusting thing to say to me. Stop and think of the repercussions of damning atheists to hell. Disgusting behavior, and I will not tolerate it. I am reporting you to the moderators.Yes. Now go to Confession and return to the Church.
LOL, I’ve made plenty of of goofs in my exegesis as well. It’s why I’m now Catholic instead of protestant. And still converting and still learningOK, fair enough. I’ll retract my amateur exegesis.![]()
Wanting the best for your eternal soul is disgusting and offensive? What a stupid and disgusting thing to say to me. Stop and think of the repercussions of damning atheists to hell. Disgusting behavior, and I will not tolerate it. I am reporting you to the moderators.
If it were up to me nobody would be in hell. Its jesus that saves, not your gloomy descriptions of atheists going to hell for not having the capability to believe. I’m glad God knows whats truly in our hearts, I guess if it were up to you almost everyone would be going to hell. Still havent responded to the Pope’s quote, all you’re doing is just throwing out this “Almost all atheists are in hell” line and expecting it to convince me.
The bible and catechism do not say that most athiests are going to hell.If it were up to me nobody would be in hell.
And if the Bible and Catechism wont convince you then what will?
Jesus opening up Heaven for mankind was a free gift, but your degree of glory that one receives in Heaven is determined by one’s good works. They do not though enter that state of salvation “by doing good”. They do not “earn it” - they cannot “earn” such initial justification. Such is by grace…by Jesus
Atheists are people…and most people wont find the narrow gate…The bible and catechism do not say that most athiests are going to hell.
It doesnt say that, it just says the gate is narrow. Stop putting your own spin on scripture and acting like its authority when the pope has a different interpetation of the matter. And im getting sick of you throwing out this “Almost all Athiests are going to hell” LineAtheists are people…and most people wont find the narrow gate…
Just like the Lord says…and just like the Catechism says…
I don’t see a CCC reference here and Francis homily is not doctrine so it’s misconstrued as meaning something other than what you have quoted. The Catechism and Pope provide my authority.
“The Lord created us in His image and likeness, and we are the image of the Lord, and He does good and all of us have this commandment at heart: do good and do not do evil. All of us. ‘But, Father, this is not Catholic! He cannot do good.’ Yes, he can… “The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the Blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics. Everyone! ‘Father, the atheists?’ Even the atheists. Everyone!”… We must meet one another doing good. ‘But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!’ But do good: we will meet one another there.” -Pope Francis during a homily/sermon
I’m not determined to any such thing. But the New Testament is very clear in many places both from Our Lord and the apostles. Look at Romans 1 for instanceWhere does the Catholic Church and the Bible say over half the population is going to hell.
Why are you so determined to damn over half of the population to hell.
The only people going to Hell are those who scorn, despise and reject Jesus. It doesnt say that, it just says the gate is narrow. Stop putting your own spin on scripture and acting like its authority when the pope has a different interpetation of the matter. And im getting sick of you throwing out this “Almost all Athiests are going to hell” Line
And thats more then half of the people on earth? The only people going to Hell are those who scorn, despise and reject Jesus.
He made the statement, and I was asking for a citation. How can you not understand that, are you sure you should be having discussions.
Correct x1000000000000000000
Exactly what I was saying. Thanks
You seem to have a defensive problem here. Read the New Testament lately? Here…borrow one of mine. NABYou’re very keen to damn people to hell, but very reluctant to provide the scripture that does.
