Huh?

All persons should seek to do good and to do good.

They do not “earn” entering into a state of salvation by doing good works though. That is the point.

Salvation came through the death and resurrection of Christ.

Even in some case of a person never hearing the Gospel who though in the end is saved in a way known to God and not to us - they too are saved by Christ and in relation to his Church.

(PS - Independent Catholic as a phrase is a kind of contradiction between the two words).

Huh? Again wouldn’t that demean the good that was done. It is like I gave a kid a dollar but only because I knew the parent would pay me back. That isn’t good but it’s like payment.

The One who instills this desire to do good is God.

Strong disagree. Cancer and other diseases show we are in no way created. A human eye is flawed because of it’s blind spot.

I think the point is more a non-believer can do good deeds without the need or want of Yahweh.
