No, but should we really lend our support to a person who’s spiritual mission in life is to take Catholics out of the Church?
Its football, for crying out loud. Now i believe you are the poster who found tball evil…so I shouldnt be surprized.

And while the phillipines has a large amount of Catholics…there are many there who do not worship any God.

Football isn’t evil, it’s just boring. 😉

First off, I didn’t find tee ball “evil.” Second, if Hitler were playing for the Jets, and spouting slurs about the Jews, but he was a good football player, could I support him? I don’t cook Jews, I just love football.

Do you have proof that Bob Tebow is trying to convert Catholics into evangelicals?

All well and good but St. Juan Diego does not play football on the weekends last time I checked anyway. And as a previous post mentioned, Tebow may be miles ahead from the cafeteria Catholics. What concerns me is his popularity may convert believers to his preferred choice of faith.

God Bless.
Massachusetts also has alot of Catholics.

There are people who claim to be Catholic who aren’t practicing.
I don’t get how all these Catholics support abortion , there is no greater crime then a dead baby. Yet these Catholics are tolerated. Why?? Maybe money.

You got mighty close.

I find football innane and probably wouldnt be much interested if the Pope played.

And i actually have had the unfortunate mistake to cheer for a basketball player. First mistake was cheering for a basketball player. Second mistake was because he was a falander, rapist and child molester. He was evil. I dont care how good he is, i will never cheer for him.

I like minor legue baseball. The guys are typically nice and most sucessful baseball players are clean cut.

You’ve gone from mentioning the fact that his dad is sad that a large number of people in the philipines don’t know the Gospel, to suggesting that Tim Tebow himself has a life’s mission to sway Catholics away from the faith, to comparing him to hitler. you are being unreasonable.

👍

Just what I was thinking as well.

Do you really think that Mr. Tebow isn’t anti Catholic?

Yes, I do actually. If you want to email me I will share her story with you, but I don’t want to post her name on here. She is a lovely lady from my parish who is Philippino (spelling?). Fundamentalists are rampant there and many Catholics know the name Tebow.

Can’t you just not use her name? Or replace it with Jane Doe or something?

Do you really think that Mr. Tebow would attend Mass or show any sort of respect toward the Holy Father? Lets use common sense. He’s a fundamentalist.
I don’t know Mr. Tebow well enough. He seems pretty respectful though.

Such disrespect for a fellow Christian is sickening. So no “fundamentalist” is capable of showing respect for the holy father?

How sad that you feel that way.

I’m not saying he is satan. I’m not saying he is evil. I’m not saying he is going to hell. My point was that Catholics should look to models of the faith, not football players. I mentioned the fact that Mr. Tebow is a fundamentalist Christian who’s father has made a life’s mission of converting Catholics. IMHO, thats not good.
