Can Catholics go on mission trips?

I am currently a junior in college and I am completely burned out and unhappy. I have been praying a lot and thinking about this a lot, and I think that I would like to do a mission trip; preferably Catholic, but I have no idea how to go about this. Can you help me please?
 
One possibility might be to contact the Family Missions Company, which works out of the Diocese of Lafayette (Louisiana) with the approval of its bishop. I can only recommend that you, and possibly your parents, thoroughly investigate any organization offering mission trip opportunities before making a commitment.
