Can a Catholic wear a Kippah? Catholic Living
I’ve always found fascinating the Jewish Kippah because of what it represents. Jewish law requires men to cover their heads as a sign of respect and reverence for God and I cannot help but wonder if it would be ok for us Catholics to wear one too. I really want to show my compromise to God but at the same time I don’t wanna give the wrong message and I also don’t want to wear them just for vanity. What do you think? Please I need guidance with this.

Considering the Catholic Church doesn’t have a dress code, why wouldn’t it be allowed. What ever a person chooses to do or wear as a sign of reverence isn’t governed by the Church, it would have to be something totally bizarre and unholy before the Church comes out an says woah, you can’t do that as a sign of reverence.
  • disclaimer, this is just a response to the original poster, not an attack nor am i going to respond to anyone who thinks i am going to engage in an arugement ;if anyone is offended feel free to use the special snowflake flag option or disagree publicly, i dont care. *

I am familiar with that passage. I think he ment more of a day to day casual thing to remind someone of the presence of God at all times. I already informed him that it wouldn’t be allowed at the mass.
