My mother is gravely ill and in a hospice setting. While searching for her legal documents we discovered a note from her that expressed her desires for burial. Since she is an only child she does not want to be buried “alone”. Her preference is to be buried with her deceased daughter who was cremated and whose remains are with her husband.
We are unsure as to what our mother’s real intent was but are hopeful to satisfy it to whatever extent we can. Is it possible to obtain a portion of her ashes and have them buried with my mother?
