Can demons posses Dead bodies

To animate a dead body requires quite a lot of miraculous biochemistry (to make the dead muscles work again), or else a more general suspension of the laws of physics (to produce movement without an energy source).

I agree. Also, Satan’s power to enthrall, persuade and seduce is extremely dangerous. If our first parents, who were not naturally inclined to evil, fell so easily to infernal inducements, how much more susceptible are we, being more than halfway on his side already through our concupiscence due to original sin?

In the case of poltergeist activity, objects can be hurled and moved. However, Gracefully moving a corpse would be incredibly difficult and expend a lot of energy.
 
Not necessarily. They would just have some other purpose in possessing the dead body, other than the torment/destruction of the already dead person.
 
Why would Satan have to personally do it when he has legions of minions at his command?
 
Not entirely true. You could, after all find other ways to propel the car assuming you had the strength: push it, hurl it across the road, etc. Spirits can manipulate other inaminate objects, why not corpses?

Someone told me a story - a reputable source -
This guy was watching a tribe of natives in the woods somewhere…
this was in the 1940’s -
and the witch doctor brought a dead body back to life - only for a few minutes though.
The body didn’t speak…it just pointed it’s finger…at the person who murdered him…
 
But that wasn’t the question. We’re not talking about reconnecting the soul with the body, just the use of the body.
 
They can throw objects that is for sure. Such a thing must be off limits [by God] or it would have happened by now it seems like. Stories in the Bible even.
