@convertingtocatholic Demons cannot possess dead bodies, because a demon infests a
spirit first, and only indirectly the body that that spirit inhabits.
But about zombies: they are not really dead
bodies at all. They are not physically dead, but
spiritually. In other words, they are bodies without spirit. It follows then, that they cannot be possessed. Zombies are immune to demons (and to many forms of magic), which is ironic because in a way that would seem to make them holy. But it doesn’t, because holiness is
perfection of spirit, while zombies do not
have a spirit (anymore).
But I think zombies are not possessed right? But some kind of infected work?
Correct. They are not possessed, but infected with something that has killed off their
spirit. And by the way, this is much worse than being possessed, for possessing demons can be driven out. I don’t know what can restore one’s spirit after it has died – perhaps nothing can.
