Yes, they can. I have experienced this awhile ago. It first started with a weird, yet really interesting dream: I was in a different dimension. A disordered one. I had my dog as my guardian angel. The hall was very long, infinitely long and dark. I could hear babies cry, and I scratched my ears so horribly they started bleeding black blood. Suddenly, a demon came up behind me and sticked his nail into my forehead, then spinned it so quickly I couldn’t feel my brain. Then, he took a bat and hit my butt very roughly. I moaned. It was me fly to some other room, where a sexy devil was there sitting without pants. I looked around and saw crosses cut in half and bleeding black blood, also. That devil had a long whip. He hit me with it. I decided to run away and hang myself. I teleported to Lucifer, where he was masturbating furiously. Suddenly he turned his head and looked at me while smiling warmly, then got closer. It spit lava. It touched me and I melted into lava, also, then he licked me, and I got in his stomach. He sucked on his own body til I came out. It was beautiful. I woke up, with a red liquid on my hand.

Oh. We may be in the same league. Here is what I dreamt of some time ago:
I would always hear whispers in my ear at night. I knew it was a demon and always embraced it with love - if that’s what it means. It helped me. It loved me. I knew it was there for me and only me. My toys would always get marks on their heads or necks. I executed them. I diabolically destroyed their tiny component pieces and smashed their heads . I enjoyed it. The demon was also satisfied. He also made sure to satisfy me. One day my cousin was standing next to me, petrified by what he has seen. He knew that I was in league with a demon. So I destroyed him. I destroyed his life. I smashed his head open and cut his stomach. I torn his intestines and the demon used them to throw him around. Of course he died. But I severed his head and threw it . My mother found his head and his remains and died of shock. I hesitated , but I stabbed her chest multiple times and finally took her heart. I burnt it and offered it as a sacrifice for my darling. .
Then I wake up and realise the demon effed with my mind once again.

Not denying that demons can manifest physically, but it was my understanding that certain normal nighttime physiological reactions (such as nocturnal emissions in men) were “blamed” on demon spirits in pre-scientific times when anatomy and physiology were not well understood.

The night terror experience (not a nightmare, but a very vivid dream experience with terrifying themes) was also blamed on this in the past. In a night terror it is also common to feel as if you can’t breath and/or something is sitting on your chest (accurate, I’ve experienced it) and incubi and sucubi were blamed for sitting on the sleeper’s chest. This has all of course been shown neurologically as a dream event.

As far as demonic sexual assault…I have no idea.

I’ve never heard of any proof that demons exist that has stood up to serious scrutiny. Perhaps ialsop can enlighten us about this proof that I’ve missed. I’d really like to research it.

In my opinion, demons cannot undress anyone, they cannot sexually assault anyone and they cannot order pizza afterwards. They exist only in the imagination or metaphorically as a representation of some of the darker aspects of human nature.

The idea of demons is just a residual trace of the fear of unexplained things from humankind’s pre-history. The idea is perpetuated partly because many are fascinated by it, just as many people like to be frightened by horror films, and partly by mischievous people who claim demons are real without providing any evidence.

Following this logic, they can have babies. And as a result, we now hold the possibility that a certain percentage of the human race bears a genetic lineage of demonic ancestry.
