I think you are guilty of deception as well regarding the doctrine of the LDS church. I have noted the examples. I stand by my previous post.
Will someone please help majick out? He just doesn’t seem to get the hang of how to quote people.

aah yes the personal attack mocking my sloppy formatting rather than just addressing the issues. This is a common LDS tactic similar to the emotional “bearing of testimony” that the individual “KNOWS” that their church is true after it has been proven that they are unaware of even what their church teaches. I believe you were saying something about being civil?

How was Jesus concieved, you evaded that question.?

Do you believe by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Just what you profess to believe or the Traditional Mormon, no extremist sect’s of Mormons views or ideas. Lets keep debates focused on the Traditional Lutheran, Mormon , Catholic. No Semantics, Please.

Sara,

Just because I was unable to answer your question to your satisfaction, does not mean that I was evading it. I honestly did my best to explain the LDS belief as to how Jesus was conceived. I don’t think that Luke goes into sufficient detail for us to really know the answer to that question. Furthermore, I don’t know that understanding how Jesus was conceived is really pertainent to our salvation.
Do you believe by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I already answered this to the best of my ability, and you accused me of evading the question. What would you like me to do now? I am trying to be honest in my responses, but it is really frustrating to have to deal with accusations on top of legitimate questions.

Katzpur,

**You did not ever answer that specific question how was Jesus concieved, Christians worldwide believe he was concieved by the power of the Holy Spirit. Again, do you believe this

Or shall I give you what the LDS/Mormon doctrine for TRADITIONAL MORMONS profess.

They feel it is a possiblility that GOD procreated with the Virgin Mary and had Jesus. Would you like me to copy and paste all information with regard to his. It is a basic Mormon belief, not a extremist sect of Mormon or fundie Mormon belief but a TRADITIONAL. Doctrine.

How would you answer that, you claim Jesus was born to the Virgin Mary but do not answer how he was concieved.

So.?**

Just to be clear there are many “traditional” LDS doctrines that are no longer held by the majority of the LDS faithful. Most of these are LDS doctrines we would find strange and definitely not of God. While this is a negative for them in regards to the claim that they are “the true Church”, it does show that they are at least moving in the right direction. Most LDS I know now believe that Jesus was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and do not believe that God the Father had physical sex with Mary.

A lot of movements they make, whether to obscure some doctrines or to alter others altogether, seem to be in the direction TOWARD Christianity. Which makes you wonder, which is the apostate church after all?!

Or, more cynically, it’s a lot easier to get converts when the strange or immoral stuff (racism, anyone?) is conveniently left in the closet.

For the third time, I don’t know how Jesus Christ was conceived. What part of that do you not understand? And for the second time, I certainly do believe that the Holy Ghost played a role in His conception. As to what that role was, I can’t say. The scriptures say only that His power “overshadowed” Mary. Perhaps you can tell me, more specifically, what “overshadowing” entails.
Or shall I give you what the LDS/Mormon doctrine for TRADITIONAL MORMONS profess.
You might start by defining what a “traditional Mormon” is. Would that be your own terminology or did you pick it up somewhere?
Would you like me to copy and paste all information with regard to his. It is a basic Mormon belief, not a extremist sect of Mormon or fundie Mormon belief but a TRADITIONAL. Doctrine.
I could care less what you copy and paste. Do you honestly think it would be new to me? If it’s a “basic Mormon belief,” perhaps you can give me the names of some of the individuals you know personally who believe it. None of the ones I know do, and I suspect I know a few thousand more than you do.
How would you answer that, you claim Jesus was born to the Virgin Mary but do not answer how he was concieved.
And for the fourth time. I don’t know.
So, I would suggest you take a hint and quit asking me.

Kathryn,

Saying “I could care less” means that you do indeed care. If you could “care less” you obviously do care some, but it implies perhaps you shouldn’t care as much. To flip it, If you said “I could care more”, it implies that you don’t care much, and you probably should care a little more.

What you mean to say is that there is no way on earth you could care any less. Or in other words, you just don’t give a rat’s behind. To say that correctly would be “I couldn’t care less”. Sorry for this, it’s just a pet peeve of mine.
Please forgive me and feel free to point out any deficiencies on my part that you find.

Thank you , you answered my question, and btw this is your first response to how (Jesus was concieved) by the Power of the Holy Spirit to which your response is " I dont know"

You claim this is your fourth response to that particular statment, no, this is your first response because you evaded that question from the beginning.

You also answered my question as to what Most LDS/Moromons profess . **

Thank You

Sara
