Let’s just assume that there was never any Christian revelation and God just left it to us to “figure it out ourselves.”

Does God HAVE to be an all-loving God for him to be God?

…or could God be evil and everything is the creation of this evil God?

The question is meaningless until you correctly grasp and objectively define evil. It’s like asking if the sun is evil. “I sat in the sun for six straight hours, and now my skin is painfully burned. I conclude the sun is evil.”

No.

In the past I was a little suspective of God and wondered if He, or Satan, made us as meatbots (biological robots). To counter this assumption, I make note that there is love in me that only God could have planted. I conclude: God must be love and is guiding me ever more deeply in it.

How would you define a biological robot? Couldn’t you conclude that love is just one attribute that is programmed in? Have you noted any sin in yourself? If so, why don’t you conclude that God must be sin?
