Can God have an Only begotten daugher?

Okay that makes more sense. So God has no gender because He is spirit, however, his nature is masculine. Since He is masculine in spirit, He became Man ( not woman) in the Flesh as Jesus Christ. Am I understanding this correctly?

Yes.

Yeah I don’t like the whole “political correctness” when referring to God. He told us to refer to Him as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit so that’s how I’m going to refer to Him.

There is no past or future with God. God is eternal (a thousand years is like a day and a day like a thousand years).

Jesus is the eternally begotten Son of God. Eternally meaning that it has always been that way. God the Son has always existed with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.

I think God absolutely could have become incarnate as a woman, had it been His good pleasure, but it would be horrible heresy to say that he actually did do such a thing, in the universe which actually came to pass.

I guess my question is more why does Scripture state that Jesus is God’s only Begotten Son, not only begotten child? Does Scripture mean the same thing? Does it mean the Jesus is God’s only Begotton Child who is male?

I don’t believe there are any Prophecy’s that should point to a begotten daughter, but rather a Son.

Psalm 2:7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

God could have sent a daughter, but considering the time and culture He chose to reveal the mystery of Salvation in, a woman would not have been effective. Women were second class citizens and would not have been able to gather others to follow her. ( who woud keep everyone fed?)

As it is, there were times inthe beginning that it looked like the whole project would be a no go. If Paul hadn’t begun to speak up, well, we might not be where we are now.

Friend, it is plain to Catholics that what you wrote about is not from Christ. It looks to be from some sort of mystery religion.

Your viewpoint is quite welcome here, but you should mention its source. Wicca? Gnosticism?
