Can God do literally anything? Make square circles? Make 1+1=72? If he can not do these things is it safe to say that he can not do literally “anything”?
God can do all things that are possible (cf. Matt. 19:26). He cannot do what is, for him, impossible, including sin or create logical impossiblities (e.g., square circles, mathematical errors, rocks too heavy for him to throw). While God can do things that are impossible for man (cf. Luke 18:27), he cannot do what is impossible for himself. This does not mean that God is not omnipotent (i.e., all-powerful); it only means that his power does not negate itself.
