Mental reservation is allowed to be used to someone “who doesn’t have a right to the truth”. Well I’m assuming according to God’s eyes, none of us sinful humans have a right to the truth.
Is there a possibility that he could lead us into believing something that isn’t actually true without lying?
For example, he could say “If you follow my commandments, you will be saved” but omitting a part of that statement and keeping it to himself, such as “If you follow my commandments, you will be saved. Unless your name is Ben”
Could God do something like that?
