In other words, are you saying, The “original topic” is whether we can ask the Holy Spirit to enter someone else’s harden heart?

few, this is a serious question and not a sarcastic question. Is English your native language? Although you seem to have a good command of English, you also seem to have a problem with it. For example, my use of the word “hardly” in the sentence “hardly touches the original topic” means “does not”. It does not refer to hardened hearts.

Yes. However, trying to translate my thoughts into forum-speak is like trying to learn a second language.

My grandmother story was a vague continuation of the OPr’s statement in post #15:

Do you not pray for any of your brethren? If someone asks you to pray that their surgery turns out well, do you tell them, “I cannot ask God to do something for you. Just ask Jesus, because he’s the one mediator?”

With respects to you stating that my grandmother is a “faith-filled woman” and that my experience with her in the nursing home “hardly touches the original topic” – if I understand you correctly, you are saying she is precluded from having anyone intervene through prayer on her behalf because she is already filled with the Holy Spirit?

No such thought. Paul encourages us to pray for one another all the time. He is talking about “faith filled” people: people who, presumably are “saved” – to use Protestant-speak – people who are already indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
