Hey, I was wondering if it was ok for me to attend a non-denominational Christian church, AS WELL as mass.
Currently, I am going to a regular Christian Church with my family in the mornings (because they are no longer Catholic). The message is great in both the sermons and the teen group which I usually split off into instead of attending the service.
I understand that I cannot take communion and that is does not count as a mass requirement. I still attend the 5:30 pm mass and I participate in the music ministry by singing in the choir and I take communion there. I am studying to be confirmined in the spring.
Unfortunately I only have a Compendium of the Cathechism of the church, and so this issue is not mentioned.
Can anyone tell me if what I’m doing is considered correct by the Catholic church? Thanks!
