My daughter, who was baptized and received all sacraments of initiation, has left the Catholic Church and is to be married in the nondenominational church she now attends with her fiancé. My question is, can I and my family, as Catholics in good standing, attend the ceremony, not participating in it, just attend it. Would we be committing a sin with our presence at this service? And how do we maintain a relationship with the daughter being married and teach our younger children this lesson?
