My best friend has asked me to be Godmother to her child. She is aware that I am a devout Catholic, and has no problem with that. However, neither she nor her husband are Catholic.
My main concern is the Baptism of the child. Is it okay for me to stand as Godmother in an Episcopalian baptism?

The following link should assist you in better understanding the Catholic Church’s teaching on taking part in a non-Catholic baptism. If you have any further questions or concerns that are not answered by this link, please contact Catholic Answers directly.
