Can I be best man at an SSPX wedding?

I have a friend who formerly was Catholic and has joined a church that is run by the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX). He is now getting married and wishes for me to be the best man. He told me that the SSPX now recognizes the pope and believes it would be allowed. Is it possible to be his best man without committing sin?
 
If your friend is being married by a priest of the SSPX, he is undoubtedly still a Catholic (not a “former Catholic”) but has chosen to align himself with a group whose status within the Church is highly irregular – so much so that the priests of this Society do not have permission to witness Catholic marriages. Those marriages witnessed by SSPX priests are, at the least, irregular; at worst, they might be invalid. For that reason, I cannot recommend that you act as an honor attendant at this wedding.
