Can I be healed of my mental disorders?

When I did a search in Google.com I saw that many entries cited Bernard, so I edited it to reference him instead of Don Bosco. I think that led me to an entry in Wikpedia. Wikpedia is an attempt at an online encycolpedia by the internet community - from what I can tell…

It’s not that hard to use Google. It’s a drag to go through each entry given to find soemthing that answers to what you are looking for!
Yes, I am familiar with both Wikipedia and Google. 🙂 I just didn’t have the motivation to search for it myself earlier. Now, I do. 👍

Not if you ask for help from any of these people! Find a good doctor, take any medication he prescribes, and then find a therapist to help you get yourself together. Also, prayer works if you focus on “Thy Will be done” Good luck (and really, most advice you could get on this site would be more wacky than you think YOU are…)

Holly,

All things ARE possible with God so don’t ever give up hope. I work with mentally ill young people and my heart goes out to you. You’ve been given some really good advice by some people who ought to know. I want you to remember that God can use doctors and medications as well as friends and loved ones to help you through the rough times. Who can say how or when God will heal? Only know that He is with you, loving you, that He created you in His image and that there is nothing you can go through that He doesn’t understand. Continue to seek support from others; we are all the Body of Christ.

I will pray for you and all those who are suffering from mental illness.

Jesus, son of David, have Mercy us.

Oh I know Maureen. I have both a therapist and a psychiatrist. The problem is remembering my appointments with them but hey… I’m improving. 🙂

Yes, I know and this is very good advice. I must always pray for God’s will to be done in my life. But I do believe that He wants the best for me and so he’s going to heal me either in this life or in the next provided I make it to Heaven. 🙂
