Help me!

I have a very confusing history as far as my name goes and I need help clearing it all up. I was born in August 23, 1949. On my baptismal papers it says one name… it was not the name my mother chose for me and she proceeded to call me by the one she did. Fast forward, she didn’t want me and gave me to someone to care for me. I would like to get it changed to the name that is on my Social Security card because I need to get my Birth Certificate, which says baby girl on it. I can use my baptismal papers to get my birth certificate, but then it will say the name that is on those and not the one that is on all my other records, SS card, License, Marriage License. What can I do to get it change to the name my mother meant it to be?

I know it is confusing and I hope someone can help me!

It sounds like the name on your baptismal certificate is not your legal name and never was. In that situation you simply need to explain the situation to your parish priest and provide him with proof of your legal name and he should be able to make the appropriate notations to your baptismal records.
