There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to choosing a confirmation name. It is a pious practice but it is not required by any Church law. Therefore its entirely up to the prudential judgment of your local parish or diocese on what the rules are. Personally, I don’t see why you couldn’t choose an angel’s name.
