I currently have Sundays off at work but I have to work midnights on my current schedule, which I detest. I will soon have a chance to work straight days (no midnights) with weekdays off on an upcoming shift bid. I will still be able to attend Mass on Saturday nights. Is it morally permissible to change my schedule to no longer have Sundays off, if I can still go to Mass on Saturday?

The decision is one only you can make. There is nothing inherently wrong with working on Sundays if one has to, particularly when Mass attendance will not suffer. In making the decision, it may be helpful to ask yourself why you hate to work nights. If the reason is merely personal preference, that may be a reason to keep your schedule as is and keep your ability to set aside Sundays as a “no work” day. However, if the current schedule is interfering with your physical and/or emotional health, or if it is interfering with a normal family life, that may be just cause to make a change.
