I am a former atheist, and I was wanting to know some things. I have decided to become Catholic, but I have to wait until the fall to take RCIA classes. First of all, I have never been baptized, so I am curious if I am allowed to cross myself. Also, there is a part in the rosary that talks about renewing baptismal promises. Am I able to say the rosary or is this forbidden until I am baptized?

Yes, you may cross yourself and pray the rosary. I am unsure which prayer you are referring to that speaks of “renewing baptismal promises,” but since the rosary is a private devotion, just adjust the wording to “in anticipation of baptism.”

Welcome home!
