Can I date a divorced Catholic?

I am currently engaged to a divorced Catholic who is seeking an annullment through the Catholic Church. However, the annullment has not yet been granted and we are waiting for the outcome before we proceed with wedding plans. Am I going against the Catholic Church by being in a relationship with him?
