Can I date after getting a civil divorce?

Is dating after a legal divorse, and before an annulment a sin?
I was baptised and raised Catholic and was also married in the Catholic Church as well. My husband went outside our marriage and had an affair with another woman. We are legally divorsed now and he is going to be married to this same woman in two months.
I continue to be told that it is ok to date and I am encouraged to do so. But my understanding and my heart for my love of God and my Catholic faith, says that I cannot date because this is adultrey. I only want to do what God tells me and to be obedient God’s law. Please help me.
 
Hi Susan,

Until it proven that your marriage is null, the Church still considers you to me married and owe fidelity to your spouse—regardless of his actions. Knowing this, to date while still married is a mortal sin.
