Can I disagree with the Pope?

I have recently returned to the Church after some time away, my Catholic faith is so dear to me, however I am losing faith in our pope, I read his encyclical, his comments seem to be trying to make me feel bad about the blessings that with the lords help I have attained. Now he questions the morality of guns and the people that make them. I am a proud gun owner It seems that having converted to the church under St. John Paul I am always holding the successor of Peter to that high standard, and Francis is causing me some consternation. I feel very guilty because I love the Catholic Church, I spent a great deal of time on a decades long journey to come home. I want to be in full communion with a pure heart as I come home to the faith that I love and cherish.

**Finally my question, can I questions about the judgements and pronouncements of the Pope or is that a sin? **:confused:
