If I can then i should look into some prayers in the missal or something like that. The thing is my uncle got ALS and maybe I should do a novena to Saint Raphael to ask formaly for his healing. Can you guide me on this issue bros and sisters?

You absolutely can do a novena on your own! There are also a lot of wonderful novena resources on the internet that will outline the prayers for each day.

I will pray to St. Jude for your uncle.

Ty for your help, but i have no idea how to do a novena to saint Raphael, can u post a link for me. And btw, can I do novena to an angel

Yes - you can absolutely do a novena to an angel. A novena is just a set of prayers said every day (usually for 9 days). The St Michael prayer is an example of a prayer to an angel. You can make up your own for the novena, and you could include your special intentions.

I do not know if there are any specific prayers already written to St Raphael, but I suspect there are.

Peace,
John Marie Philomena

We know that we can ask for intercessory prayers from angels. It’s not the angel’s power that will help you; it’s the angel adding his prayers to God on behalf of your cause that strengthens the petition. Sometimes the answer to prayers is “yes” or “no” or “not yet” or “not in that way”. So the prayer is always for God’s will to be done. But it’s healthy to pray for others, and to enlist the prayers of others on someone else’s behalf. 🙂

Here’s one example of an angel interceding on behalf of the people of Jersualem, from Zechariah:
Then the angel of the Lord said, “O Lord of hosts, how long will you withhold mercy from Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which you have been angry these seventy years?” 13 Then the Lord replied with gracious and comforting words to the angel who talked with me. 14 So the angel who talked with me said to me, Proclaim this message: Thus says the Lord of hosts; I am very jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion. 15 And I am extremely angry with the nations that are at ease; for while I was only a little angry, they made the disaster worse. 16 Therefore, thus says the Lord, I have returned to Jerusalem with compassion; my house shall be built in it, says the Lord of hosts, and the measuring line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem. 17 Proclaim further: Thus says the Lord of hosts: My cities shall again overflow with prosperity; the Lord will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem.

Ty to all i was evangelical some months ago and i struggle to understand somethings. God bless you Brethern

Im gonna try to find it out in Spanish but however i can do it in English ty so much.

Hi Miguel,

Here is a link to the Pray More Novenas website, which also lists other Novenas that you can do and can sign up for, if you are interested:

They will send Novenas to you if you want them to to your e-mail inbox as a reminder to pray them if you want to sign up, but you’re not obligated to do that. I am signed up with them. It’s a nice service to get the Novenas as a reminder to pray them with others, I think. 🙂

You can just look at the website at the Novenas that you would like.

They have a listing of more common Novenas, and they also have Novenas to our Guardian Angel, and to St. Michael the Archangel, too.

God bless you and your family, and I hope that your Uncle is doing alright. ❤️

Thanks for explaining, Miguel. I do understand. My Dad’s wife had a form of Muscular Dystrophy. Same family of diseases, in a way similar as ALS.

Again, I’m so sorry for your Uncle. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers, and your family, too. ❤️
