Do you mean head shaving as a form of penance? I don’t see anything wrong with that.

I don’t understand what you mean by face massage though.

While we should make normal efforts to be well-groomed and healthy during Lent, we should not pamper ourselves with luxurious beauty treatments or similar things.

has someone given you some false reason for believing any of these practices whould be prohibited in Lent?

Usually I go for facial and get my eyebrows trimmed every month so was wondering whether i can do it during Lent. No one has specifically mentioned me not to do during lent. But out of habbit, i wanted to go to do this and i wanted to know whether i can do this.

Unless for some reason you are under obedience to a spiritual superior who has advised you not to do these things, yes you can do ordinary good grooming practices. If you regularly have questions like this you really need to consult your spiritual director.

Heavens to Betsy why not!! If I didn’t cut my hair for all of Lent, I’d look like a shag bag (it grows fast). I don’t do facials at a spa but I give myself one ever so often, and don’t see any reason why I can’t during Lent.
