Can I do work for a friend for pay on Sunday?

My brother and I are working for a family friend while she is away on vacation. We are supposed to water her flowers and feed the cat. Would it be a sin to do this on a Sunday? We are getting paid for it. I could ask her to not pay us for this day; would you recommend that I do this? My brother would be willing to do it all so I don’t need to, but I do not want to make him work on Sunday.
