Seem to me the answer to the question, “How much is enough prayer?” is "You can never pray enough."

So, from Adam and Eve until today, what is the prudent advice we have for maintaining a prayer life?

It is to make your entire life a life of prayer by offering all you think, say and do as prayer. Prayer doesn’t consist in only formal prayer or spoken prayer, it’s offering everything to God throughout our day. Of course, formal prayer gives us stability in our prayer life, such as the rosary, Liturgy of the Hours, etc. Any spoken prayer from simple aspirations to contemplation is good too. But everything is prayer if we make it that, which makes our whole life one of prayer. 🙂

👍

Great post. And it’s also important to remember that one of the Spiritual Works of Mercy is “To pray for the living and the dead”; so whenever you get the chance to do so, even if it’s just a quick prayer, do it! 🙂

Do the best you can and remember God is not using prayer as a grade to get into heaven.

Mary.
