I’m Learning Biblical Hebrew for the sake of reading the original text. Next is learning Greek and probably Aramaic.

I was wondering if there is a Bible that is compiled in all the original texts, no translations?
I believe the Old Testament is Hebrew while the New Testament is a mix. It would be nice if they were all together…

After posting this, literally the post underneath was asking about an interlibrary Bible. I’d like a hard copy. But thanks for link too.

Hi Edy!

You can obtain both the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartiensis and the Greek New Testament (with the English Standard Version from Amazon. Any edition of these books contain English translations, though.

You and I must think a like. (As I was thinking, like, the original ones?)

No it wasn’t totally written in Hebrew. The Greek Septuagint was an ancient translation which some books in the Bible have only been found in Greek such as 2 Maccabees. You can get a Septuagint in Greek . I know I have one. Also NETS is an English translation of the Septuagint into English. I must say it includes books not in the Catholic Bible such as 3 and 4 Maccabees and the Psalms of Solomon. The former two are in Orthodox Bibles but the latter I don’t believe are in any Christian tradition canon of scripture. But they were in some copies of the Septuagint so I guess that is what they put it in for.
