Can I get a civil marriage before a church wedding?

My fiancee has a serious medical condition that has forced her to leave her job, and lose her health insurance. We are planning a wedding in about one year. We follow the Theology of the Body and abide by all Church teachings. Could we get married in a civil ceremony so I can provide her with health insurance coverage, continuing to live celibate lives until our Church wedding?

Yes, you may. Some countries require a civil ceremony before the Church wedding. So long as you live in a celibate way until your sacramental wedding, you may be civilly married.
