These are very good questions. I just want to state that i’m not a theologian but God has given me a thinking mind. I will do my best to clarify these questions for you. May God help us with our understanding of his word, may it all come clear to us.
well here goes:
To the SDA: InS t John’s Apocalypse when St John says: 1: 10 I was in the spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
What day of the week was this, and how do you know what day it is?
Isaiah 58:13
If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on
my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, Honorable; and shall honor him, not doing dine own ways, nor finding dine own pleasure, nor speaking dine own words.
I give you my text stating what day is the Lord’s Day. Now you give me yours please.
As you can see, this is what the bible says, not what i interpret it to say or what i think it says.
Again in St John’s Apocalypse chapter 12.1,2 And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And being with child, she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered.
Who, or what do the woman, the child, the dragon represent?
We will start with these and see if it is worth going from here.
This is prophecy at its finest, we have to have a good understanding of what the bible say it is. Every thing that is in the Bible can perfectly and accurately be decipher with the bible itself. It would not make any sense for God to give us a prophecy that his word cannot explain.
Well here goes:
This text is loaded with symbols, all of which have a meaning. if we understand what each symbol mean then we will be able to put it all together for the big picture.
So we will see what the bible defines each symbol to be. This is not me assuming anything. This is plain English from the bible. Also you missed a few symbols in your question.
I will paraphrase the text to save time. Please look them up in your bibles. I use KJV because all the other bibles are flowed. NIV and the NRV have hundreds of verses that have been modified and a bunch load that have just completely been deleted.
If you don’t believe me try to find mat. 17:21; 18:11; 23:14; Mark 7:16; 9:44; 9:46 and the list goes on.
There is a conspiracy against God’s word. If you want to find something interesting, investigate who was behind the NIV and the NRV. So I recommend you use the KJV, it is best to get an old version. 1980 or older.
woman: is a pure church; (people makes up the church)
- Jeremiah 6:2 Zion is likened to a delicate and comely woman.
- Isaiah 51:16 and say unto Zion, thou art my people

- Malachi 4:2 Jesus is the sun of righteousness
- Matt 17:2 Jesus face shine as the sun and his raiment was as white as snow.
- John 8:12 Jesus is the light of the world.
Moon: Permanence, mosses system of types and sacrifice
-permanence Psalm 89:35-37 it will stay for ever as a witness
-Hebrew 10:1, 11 Moses system of types an sacrifice. We know that the moon does not have light of her own. She can only reflect the light from the sun. The same way the sacrificial system reflected the light that was to come. It was a shadow of the real sacrifice of Jesus. After Jesus that system was useless and unnecessary.
crown: Kingship, Victory

- 2 kings 11:12
- Ezekiel 21:26, 27
- James 1:12
- 2 timothy 4:7,8
- 1 Corinthians 9:25
stars: Angels, sons of God (human being), but in this case it is referring to the 12 tribes of the covenant of Israel.
- Revelations 1:16, 20 stars are angels
- 1 Corinthians 15:41-42 for one star is different from another in glory. (this will depend on the souls won to Christ and the purity of life achieved on earth for Jesus glory)
- Deuteronomy 1:10
- Isaiah 14:13 the starts of God are his subjects. we are his stars here on earth if we obey him. we reflects the light that comes from him. the closer we get to God the brighter we shines. we are the light of the world.
Man child: is Jesus Christ

Revelations 12: 5, child was caught up to heaven.
Psalm 2:7-9 rules with a rod of iron
dragon: Satan, the devil, the serpent.
- Isaiah 27:1
- Psalm 74:13,14

horns: power and strength, king or kingdom
-power and strength:
–deut. 33:17
–Zechariah 1:18, 19
-king or kingdom:
–Psalm 89:17, 24
–Daniel 8:5, 21, 22
Heads: major power, rulers, governments
-Daniel 7:6 four heads has dominions
-Daniel 8:8, 22 the first horn was very strong but the last four horns of that nation was weaker than the first big horn. Note that these four horns represent the 4 heads of Daniel 7:6, all is added was the first great king. While Daniel 7 focuses on all the world governments from Babylon until the second coming of Jesus; Daniel 8 focuses on the destruction and reestablishment of the sanctuary doctrine or service. It does not start with Babylon; it starts with medo-Persia and then Greece. You may note as well that the 2 beast are sacrificial animal in Daniel 8. This is exciting stuff but I will stop here. That is a different topic.
-revelation 17:3, 9, 10 heads are mountains (mountain are political and/or religious powers: Isaiah 2:2, 3; Jeremiah 51:24,25)
Beast: kingdom, government, political power. (the dragon is also represented as a best)
-Daniel 7:23 the forth beast is the forth kingdom on the earth.
-revelation 13:1: this is the same dragon power of revelation 12:3 as you can see. The dragon represents Satan, and all the beast together of Daniel 7 represents the dragon power in revelation 13:1, 2. as you can see all the beast put together in one package makes up the dragon power or at least an image of the first dragon.
Ok now that we know what every thing pertaining to this text mean we can begin.
