Can I go to Protestant service in place of Mass?

I am a cradle Catholic and never miss Mass. My husband is Baptist and would like me to go to the Bapist church. I have said no because I was taught I could not miss Mass. He is offended that I offered to go to both the Catholic and Baptist church. The message he gets is that I do not think the Bapist church is good enough. I fear I am pushing him away and not toward my faith. Can I miss Mass and go with him?

He is correct. The Baptist service is light years inferior to the presence of Christ on the altar at Mass. You need to explain to him that there is nothing on the face of the earth that can come close to equaling it. This is why you cannot substitute another church service for the Mass. See:
