Can I have friends who are gay?

I work in a very gay-friendly profession. Many of my friends are married (to someone of the same sex), or have a live-in partner, some of them have children. I know the church teachings on homosexuality, but I love my friends and feel that their decisions and lifestyle, are their own, and it is not my place to judge them. Is it okay for me to be friends with them, and babysit for them?
