I was once in a grocery store and found packs of unconsecrated hosts (communion wafers) being sold. I am wondering if I am not violating the laws of God if I bought one pack and eat the unconsecrated communion wafers. To be frank about, I found the taste of the host good when I am taking it during the Holy Eucharist. And ever since I was stricken by illness and my doctor recommended low salt and low sugar food, the communion wafer may be good to fill my stomach when I am hungry in between regular meals. I do not mean to be sacrilegious. Please guide me on this.

While there’s nothing inherently immoral about it, it does seem to be highly inappropriate. Someone who came to your home might see them and not realize they are unconsecrated and be highly scandalized. It could cause confusion for any children in your home making them unable to recognize the difference between the unconsecrated hosts at home and the hosts at Mass.
