Can I interpret the Bible?

Do I have to be a priest/apologists/etc. . . To interpret the bible?

For instance- If I was on a desert island because let’s say a plane crashed and there was a bible, could I read it today and get to heaven? Could my sins be forgiven? Could I learn the truth through reading the Word of God? And hypothetically speaking, let’s pretend I die on this island after reading most of it. Could I obtain the truth?
