Can I read a Qur'an?

I would not read it since its falsehood and it could give you misconceptions no matter how strong your faith

IMO, If your faith in Christ is strong (and his marvelous works of redemption is concrete in your heart) and you practice it with love and honour God in everything you do and love your neighbor, there should be no fear of this happening.

One thing you’ll learn if you pursue the Koran is that most Muslims are adamantly against translating the Koran into other languages–the original Arabic is beautiful, and considered to be inerrantly “revealed,” on a level of comparison to the Incarnation of the Word Christians affirm in Jesus. So what you can (and should) read is a “translation,” which is less-beautiful because it never translates cleanly into English, and less authoritative.
A Muslim friend explained it even more strictly than that. He told me that even written in Arabic, it is not truly the Qu’ran, but a representation. It holds its clearest “power” when it is spoken and heard. 🤷
