I saw a picture posted by Dr. Michael Barber on Facebook where he has a stack of books to help him prepare for a class. The stacks of books looks interesting and I got interested in reading one of them. The name of the books is, “The Crucifixion: Undersanding the Death of Jesus Christ” written by Fleming Rutledge. I searched for this book online and realized that it was written by an episcopal priest!

Michael Barber is a Catholic theologian professor who works for a Catholic university. Before I start reading this book, is it safe to read it? Does it have content contrary to Catholic teaching? It looks interesting and would like to read it, but I don’t want to read books that are going to confuse me. Thanks.
